(Lisa, Erin, Jordan and I at Vineman 1/2 Ironman Triathlon, July 2006)
Hello, and thanks for chekcking out my Blog. I not only hope that you find this interesting but i hope that you possibly get something more out of this than just hearing me talk about myself. Why did i create this? To share with you something I am taking on that can easily be considered huge physically and athletically, but more so an opportunity share about how this journey this undertaking has challenged me personally and what it means to me, who I’ve met along the way and hopefully what if any effect or influence it may have on any of you out there that come across this. This is not a play by play Ironman experience, eventhough your bound to get a sence of some of that, but a sharing between people in my life, that’s you, of how this or simular events in your lives past present or future challenge and effect you to be better, overcome, persevere, accomplish ect…
I plan to post at least every other day for the next 3 weeks. This is intended to be a short term blog site for the next 30 days. But if it becomes more that that then I’ll re-eval later. If for any reason you do not want to recieve updates but want to check in on your own just drop me a note. I appreciate and will honor your request and no offense will be taken (really).
So Let’s start out on our literary online journey…
Now , the real quick facts and info about what’s happening. I will be particpating in the Ford Ironman Triathlon, Couer d’Alene, Idaho on June 24, 7:00am. This is a race made of three legs done consecutively: a 2.4 mile lake swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run (marathon). I have been a triathlete for 3 years now. The first race i did was the Newport Beach Triathlon in May of 2005. That’s enough for now. I will share more of the hows and the always curious “But Why?” in my next post. Again welcome and don’t be shy, introduce yourselves to each other.
Blessings, Marvin

Stay healthy Marvin and good luck in your final countdown. Don’t go too crazy on your taper…

Wow. Go Marvin!
Marvin, best of luck with the Ironman … maybe the next one will be in Hawaii – we’ll cheer you on at the finish line!
XO to Lisa and your beautiful family – we miss you guys,
Darien & Darrin Gee
Marvin,
I think it’s great and I’m glad Lisa and the kids get to enjoy themselves at the resort while you trudge along doing this guy thing. One thing you may want to change – it’s Coeur d’Alene (heart of Alene), not Couer. High school French taught me something.
